Reed Education Cardiff are currently working with a SEN school in Penarth on a new opportunity for a passionate SEN TA to start in September.

This SEN school caters for children and young adults between 7 to 19 years. All pupils have difficulty learning as a result of challenging behaviours such as emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Aspergers Syndrome. This schools aims to develop children into effective learners by establishing positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills.
This role involves ensuring the educational progression and personal development of SEN students. In addition to this the ideal candidate will be someone who will be a good male role model for the students and be an expert with SEBD children.

To be considered for this role you must:

o Have previous experience of working with children with SEBD
o Be enthusiastic
o Be a quick learner who is easy to adapt
o Have a desire to support and encourage students under their care
o Very resilient
o Have a calming nature
o Hold a DBS that entitles you to work with children and adults (Reed are happy to provide this if you don’t have one)
