Do you have a passion for working with students with SEN?

Reed Education Cardiff are currently working with a great SEN school in Penarth on a new opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN TA to start immediately.

This SEN school caters for children between the ages of 7 and 19 years old who have learning difficulties as a result of them having Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Disorder (SEBD). There are children that this school cater for who may also have Autism, or Aspergus Syndrome. The staff at this school are highly motived and enthusiastic about providing a working environment that ensure students thrive.
This role involves helping develop young people’s emotional wellbeing and social skills, with the aim of developing students to be effective learners so they are able to cope better with the things they find challenging. This will also involve assisting the teacher with planning, preparing and delivering lessons.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in working with children with SEN, particularly those with SEBD
• Be highly motivated and wants to ensure their students thrive
• Have a DBS that entitles you to work with children and adults (Reed are happy to provide this if you don’t have one)
• Hold a relevant TA qualification along with a Team Teach certificate is preferred (although not essential
• Will also have a passion to develop and support SEN students through their education.
