REED Education are currently working with a specialist provision in the Birmingham area who require BSL teaching assistants to support pupils with hearing impairments. The school support pupils aged 2-11 years and have a strong commitment to realising and celebrating the achievements of each individual pupil within their provision.
You will be a hardworking, confident and dedicated individual with the passion to make a difference to each individual’s educational development. Working closely on a 1-2-1 and small group tutorial basis, the successful individual will be required to interpret their skills, knowledge and understanding and deliver a variety of lessons to inspire and motivate the pupils you are working with.
***BSL Level 2 Qualification or above
***Supporting children aged 2-11 who have hearing impairments
***Primary Specialist institution in Birmingham
*** A distinct knowledge and understanding of the differing social, cultural and physical needs of pupils.
***Experience working with hearing impaired and/or profoundly deaf learners
***Confident in signing and communicating with hearing impaired pupils that help break down the learning barriers within the classroom.
