REED Education are working alongside an Ofsted ‘Good’ SEMH Specialist school in Staffordshire, who are currently looking for an experienced and inspirational Head Teacher to join them at the start of the new academic year, taking over from their current Head who is retiring. You will be a pioneering and inspirational leader, with the passion and dedication to ensure the continuous development of the school.

About the school;

Your new school is an independent DfE Special School, supporting children and young adults between the ages of 7-19 with social emotional, mental health and a range of other needs, including communication difficulties. The school offers a bespoke and tailored provision, where pupils are able to participate in a broad range of academic, creative, sporting and vocational learning opportunities. With a curriculum that allows personal and academic development, as well as achieving a range of qualifications, the school provides the very best support for young adults to achieve in life.

As with any school, the provision is looking to further develop the curriculum offer to include a wider range of vocational learning opportunities. This truly is an exciting opportunity for a strong school leader to join an established and well supported provision.

About you;

As the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for leading an established and effective team in the support of disengaged young people with additional SEMH requirements and as a result, the school are looking for someone with the skills and experience to ensure that the school is able to go from strength to strength. You will also have;

• Excellent leadership skills as well as a wealth of knowledge about the sector
• The ability to lead a strong and established SLT
• The passion and dedication to continue the development of an established provision
• Experience developing a bespoke and tailored curriculum to meet the needs of your pupils
• Experience leading a specialist provision as either Head Teacher or Head of School
