SEN English Teacher

Are you a qualified and experienced Secondary teacher who is looking for a new opportunity?

Do you have the patience and tenacity to work with students with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties?

A 'Good' Secondary Pupil Referral Unit in North London is seeking a fully qualified English Teacher who has taught SEN pupils previously for a position starting as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEN English Teacher who has SEN experience and is used to keeping pupils engaged and progressing in their academics. The pupils you will be teaching have a variety of needs and display challenging behaviour. In this role you will be teaching the curriculum to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. The schools has a great support system and the senior leaders are always open to new ideas.

The school fosters an inclusive ethos in which all pupils are eager to participate in the life of the school and contribute to the wider community. The school also work very closely with the parents and the community to support students outside of the school environment.

The school is looking for a well-rounded practitioner who has a good sense of humour and likes working as part of a team.
Desirable attribute and experience:
- Creative approach to delivering the curriculum
- Experienced working with children who display challenging behaviour, ASD and learning disabilities
- Interested in working in a different education environments
To be eligible for this role you must:
- Hold a current enhanced DBS certificate
- Have UK Qualified Teaching Status
- Be flexible on working hours and location (East London)
This role would suit an inspirational and talented Teacher who is a team player, with superb behaviour management and communication skills. You will have high standards for yourself and your pupils and a happy, positive demeanour. The role is open to accomplished Teachers and highly talented NQTs.
