Reed Hampshire Supply Service are currently seeking excellent qualified secondary teachers that are looking to supply into Hampshire County Council schools.
As contract holders of Hampshire County Councils supply framework, we work with a number of lovely schools across Hampshire that, need supply on both a daily and long term basis.
What to Expect:
- Supply teaching is usually a mix of pre-booked work (for example for later that week), or emergency on the day cover, for a variety of subjects across KS3 and 4
- Lesson plans will be left to follow, so it is the responsibility of the supply teacher to deliver these lessons in an exciting and engaging manner
- You will be expected keep the pupils on task, manage behaviour and motivate them to complete the work to the best of their ability
Why supply teaching?
Supply work offers flexibility that is not usually offered within normal teaching. Pick the days you are available, and work around your other commitments. Say goodbye to planning, preparation, and parents’ evenings and after hours! Furthermore, supply teaching is a great way to try out new schools and get to know a new area.
The ideal supply teacher is flexible and adaptable, with great behavioural management and a willingness to get ‘stuck in’. You must also hold QTS, be eligible to work in the UK and be happy to apply for an enhanced DBS if you do not have one on the update service.
