Are you passionate about SEN within Secondary settings? Are you an experienced SENCO who wants a new challenge?
The school is looking to appoint someone who is an outstanding practitioner who can lead by example. The school is looking for a leader who is happy to model good practice and is confident they can advise staff on the most effective methods to ensure progression. Your responsibilities will include improving the teaching of those children with SEN, and making sure the SEN team are well placed to get the best out of all children. Under the guidance of an inspirational leadership team, you will have the support necessary to make sure IEPs are kept up to date and relevant outside agencies are in school as and when needed. In general, you will be keeping your skill set inclusive and fair so that each and every child in your care makes excellent progress.

The successful candidate will;
***Be an outstanding qualified teacher with two or more years’ experience.
***Hold the National Award for SENCO.
***Have a strong understanding of the secondary curriculum and assessments.
***Have thorough knowledge of the new SEND Code of Practice.
***Have the ability to articulate and demonstrate the characteristics of effective planning, teaching and learning and assessment strategies for all abilities.
***Have experience of writing and reviewing Educational Health and Care Plans.
