Reed Education Cardiff are currently recruiting for a specialist Physical Education Teacher with experience of delivering sessions to female/male learners up to GCSE. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent behaviour management and relationship building skills in order to quickly form meaningful relationships with learners.
The school is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive located just outside of Newport and holds an Estyn accredited rating of ‘Good’. Transport links to and from the school are excellent and the site is located within a manageable driving distance from most South Wales locations. Applications from practitioners who have experience of teaching Physical Education as an A Level subject to a mixed-gender group will be received favourably, although this is not a requirement for the role. The school is specifically seeking a male Physical Education Teacher for the role owing to policy regarding staffing in the department.

To be considered for the role, you will be/will have:
- A qualified teacher (QTS status);
- A good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant or related subject discipline;
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences up to KS4 (KS5 desirable);
- Commitment to afterschool club and out-of-school hours learning provision;
- Effective class management with pupils at all levels;
- Tenacious attitude with a devotion to self-improvement;
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
