An excellent academy in the Camberley, Surrey is seeking to recruit a Food Technology teacher to cover for a maternity leave which will start in February 2020. Food Technology is part of the Design Technology Department at the academy and this department offers fantastic provision in a range of DT curriculum areas which provide creative and innovative opportunities for students of all ages.
The role is full time and permanent and is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract. There is the possibility of a TLR as subject lead for the right candidate.
The successful candidate would have responsibility for the teaching and assessment of Food Technology for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, including the teaching of Food and Nutrition at GCSE which includes marking and moderating the NEA coursework element for these classes.
The college teaches students from Year 7 - Year 11 and has a growing 6th Form which offers a range of subjects and post 16 courses. Academic performance is consistently high and leadership team is striving to move from Ofsted Good to Outstanding. - Teachers with QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Teachers with a qualification in a relevant subject, including any necessary health and safety certificates
- Teachers with experience in teaching Food Technology and Food and Nutrition, including planning and marking at GCSE
- Teachers who are able to provide support and training for staff to enable them to deliver Food lessons or projects at Key stage 3
You must be available to start in February 2020.
