 English Teacher – SEN


Reed Education are currently working with a large school on an exciting new role in Wakefield for an English Teacher.
Starting in September, this is a temp to perm position well suited to an English specialist teacher with strong behavior management skills and experience of working with SEN.
This role is a great opportunity to work with children who have social, emotional and mental health issues and bring a positive and engaging environment for them to learn and develop.
The role is full time.

 

The School:

Working within a Large Secondary School with impressive student facilities and high tech modern equipment to support teachers.
Class sizes are a maximum of 9 pupils with 2-3 behavior support.
High expectations when it comes to academic standards and results, however it is also important to the school to create well rounded, ambitious and compassionate members of the community.
The curriculum is aimed to meet the needs of all the students, helping to encourage and challenge at all levels

 

The Role:

For this role you will:
Have qualified Teacher status in the UK alongside a specialism in English.
Experience of teaching pupils that may present with challenging behavior, social emotional mental health issues, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, disengaged in their learning, LAC's and attachment disorders.
Strong behavior management skills.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment
Keep pupils engaged and on task. Flexibility Demonstrate knowledge of differentiation in low level abilities. Comply with the school's behavior policy.
Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and NQTs, however classroom management experience is a must.
