A Cover supervisor duties - Information from TES.

The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. So officially, cover supervisors:
• Don’t plan
• Don’t have the subject knowledge
• Don’t mark work
• Don’t set homework
• Don’t differentiate
• Don’t set targets

However, in the TES Forums many cover supervisors report undertaking the following duties:
• Teaching grammar
• Managing behaviour
• Discussing and debating texts with pupils and answering questions
• Differentiating and allocating extension exercises.

Qualifications needed to become a cover supervisor:
Cover supervisors are often highly qualified in their particular field. Many schools specify an honours degree as a minimum educational requirement and like their CSs to have experience of working with young people. – This is what we are looking for!
Skills and knowledge

The following are desirable:
• Highly adaptable as there is no a regular timetable
• Have a thick skin – Dealing with young People
• Behaviour management skills
• Be diplomatic
• Want to have fun and enjoy working in a diverse environment.


We have registration interview slots available, by appointment only!

We are looking for individuals who are keen and enthusiastic in supporting children’s learning, preferably educational professionals who will be available a minimum of 3 days a week.

To work as a Teacher, you will require QTS. We are looking for qualified Teachers who are looking to work within Schools within the UK who are able to travel to Schools within West and South West London!

We are looking for someone who is looking to commit to Schools, ideally looking for 3 days minimum a week!
