Located within the local authority of Leicestershire this Secondary Academy are looking to appoint a Teacher of Business and ICT to a part time role for the new academic year 2020/21 starting in September. The successful applicant will teach KS3 and KS4. The position will see the successful applicant join the school initially up until Christmas though this position could potentially last for the duration of the academic year.
The school itself is located close to the centre of Leicester to the South of the City and is slightly smaller than the average Secondary School. The school have been through a significant period of transition over recent years but under the new Leadership team there is now a clear vision for the school and well planned and implemented strategies. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated team of staff that have embraced the changes that have been implemented over the last couple of years and with a clear desire to provide the best possible days teaching for their pupils.
The school has a diverse and multicultural population with a significant number of pupils that come from ethnic minority backgrounds with English as an additional language. It serves an area of comparatively high deprivation with a larger than average number of pupils eligible for the pupil premium. Amongst these challenges pupils behaviour is good with clear behaviour policies that are well managed and implemented ensuring that teachers have a positive classroom experience.
