An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Office Manager in an academic institution to start in January 2018 for approximately 6 weeks, possibly to go on longer
The ideal candidate for this role must have previous experience in a similar environment

The key purpose for this role is:
• Day to day supervision of all office staff
• Supporting Business Manager with day-to-day business operations as shown below
• Organising / prioritising planned and unplanned administrative work
• Overseeing all administrative work with regards to reception, data, financial, human resources, pastoral, attendance and curriculum

Human Resources:
• Processing contracts and payroll administration
• Processing staff/volunteer and contractor DBS checks / vetting checks
• Producing staff attendance reports each half term and reporting to Headteacher / Governors

• Preparing annual administration calendar with input from SLT
• Ensuring delivery of professional administration services – customer service
• Creating forms as required

Data Management
• Assisting the Business Manager with the development of the school’s data strategy (data collection, update and monitoring)
• Developing and designing bespoke reports in SIMS to provide management information on pupils and staff
• Support with Workforce Census and Pupil Census

• Supervising finance assistant of processing of orders, invoices and purchase ledger accounts
• Monitoring of cost centre budgets

• Supporting Business Manager in Quarterly and Year End accounts

You will need to have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection

An Enhanced DBS will be essential for this role
