School Administrator DBS required

An exciting opportunity to join a busy school environment has become available for a 2-3 week temporary cover. 

The role:

·        Provide a high quality secretarial and administrative service.

·        Manage incoming and outgoing mail, responding and/or redirecting where appropriate.

·        As necessary attend and take minutes of meetings. Type and distribute minutes and relevant supporting paperwork.

·        Support the health agency management team in compiling, maintaining and updating CQC compliance plans and documentation.

·        Lead on the maintenance on the health agency website pages and provide support for the health agency development of promotional materials and resources.

·        Maintain information systems and data bases for clinical audit.  Produce statistical reports from data bases.

·        Input data onto system trackers and provide relevant copies of appraisals to human resources.

·        Record and monitor staff attendance and absence, provide information to finance and human resources.

·        Responsible for the resource management of office supplies.

·        Check agency timesheets against received invoices.

·        Oversee petty cash, keeping appropriate records.

·        Audio typing, as required.

·        To be familiar with Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to within your area of responsibility.

Person specification:

·        To be familiar with and competent in the use of office equipment (eg personal computer, photocopier, audio equipment).

·        To be familiar with and competent in the use of electronic data storage and programs (eg Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Mailmerge, etc).

·        To have excellent organisational skills, particularly in relation to the organisation and storage of information and documentation within the Health Agency

·        To gain an administrative understanding of the Care Quality Commission as our regulators.

·        To respect the need for confidentiality and sensitivity, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with external agencies, staff, residents and relatives, both verbally and in writing.

·        To fully participate in the organisation’s performance review, personal development planning and supervision processes.  The centre has a policy for supervision and appraisal which will be undertaken by your line manager.

·        Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and agreed with line manager.


This is a full time Monday to Friday position with office hours based in Much Hadham.
You must be immediatley available and have a clear in-date DBS for this role.
