Reed Recruitment are proud to be exclusively supporting our client who is fast becoming the leading name in plant hire and aggregates supply in East Anglia. Supplying high-grade aggregate, crushers, screeners, and excavators from 1.5 tonne – 40 tonne, forklifts, loading shovels and attachments.

Due to the recent success and growth of the company, they are looking to expand their team and recruit a driven and professional Sales Representative on a Permanent basis, to manage some existing clients and develop new business

The Role:

Working from Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, The role will be principally marketing out products effectively; building and maintaining relationships with contractors, suppliers and clients by targeting specific project requirements with them. Offering aggregate products and/or plant to meet their needs in order to generate sales.

You will need to be able to develop relationships with clients, analyse trends and project sales to assist in establishing of forecasting operating budgets.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

-Serves as liaison between customers and company by identifying and contacting current and prospective clients, provide solutions and deliver results.
-Generating sales proposals; servicing existing accounts, implementing change if necessary.
-Promote company brand and overall marketing strategies.
-Plans and schedule visits to existing accounts in the area.
-Suggests products for accounts to order and identify and resolves client concerns
-Ensures quality and consistency of service and product delivery.
-Develops and supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials.
-Forecast customer and market demand.
-Resolve customer problems and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
-Collaborate to improve marketing, promotion, pricing, service, credit and logistics.
-Develop and maintain region intelligence for market size, customers and competitors.

Required Skills/Experience:

-Proven ability in Sales
-Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, planning and time management skills.
-Computer literate; including, but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
-Must have positive attitude, a self-starter, self-motivated and can work independently.
-Possess good problem solving skills; strong mathematical ability.
-Must have a valid driver’s licence and maintain an excellent driving record. (company insurance requirements) Some geographical knowledge of the region would be helpful.
-Must be able to work in a team environment and interact with employees at all levels.
-Adaptable to change; works well under pressure.
* Majority of the role will be based local, however there may occasionally be some overnight travel required to attend sales meetings, tradeshows and to work with customers directly.
