This role is to support the finance function, in particular having responsibility for managing the accounts receivable function, including credit control and invoicing. It will also involve assisting the Finance team in other activities during busy periods where workload allows.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the accounts receivable function, processing invoices and maintaining the sales ledger.

• Managing the credit control function (responding to client queries relating to their account and invoices in a timely manner, chasing for late/non payments, supporting the bad debt process).

• Reconciliation of the client accounts (monthly basis) in the event of staff absence.

• Assisting with period / year end closing activities including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts related to sales ledger.

• Working with the Management Accountant to support the development of the business through process development and some analysis.

Ideal candidate:

• Previous experience working within a finance environment and use of an accounting system is required, use of Sage 200 is highly desirable.
• The successful individual will have strong attention to detail, ability to work to tight deadlines and a good work ethic, have a strong, proactive and can do attitude with a desire to learn and develop
• Strong communication skills and a good telephone manner
• A self-motivator with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
