Job title: Sales Ledger Clerk - 3 Month FTC with a view for possible extension
Salary: Up to £19k per annum
REED Accountancy are working EXCLUSIVELY with a business based in North Birmingham with a view to recruit a competent sales ledger clerk on a three month fixed term contract to join their busy credit control team.
Due to the urgency of this vacancy, no notice period is essential as the client would like someone to start next week!
- Allocating remittances
- Open all incoming mail.
- Posting BACS and cheque payments
- Allocate payments against invoices
- Maintain the accuracy of the ledger
- Reduce unallocated cash within the agreed timescales
- Liaise with other branches in order to resolve allocation queries
- Enter and maintain accurate notes against customer accounts as necessary
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
- Experienced within query resolution
- Good eye for detail
- Be immediately available
- Have worked within a sales ledger role
- Organised and professional
- Able to meet tight deadlines
- Good MS Excel skills
