Acquire a good knowledge of the Company and its products

Attending the company’s Sales Induction Training Programme and other relevant training workshops as required.

To achieve targets and key objectives set, whilst ensuring that all relevant planners & documents are completed.

Maintain and develop existing customers whilst introducing new customers to our products and services.

Ensure every sales opportunity is maximised by using relevant sales call structures.

Job Requirements

Accept (with management supervision/direction) responsibility for the development of a territory/category and the implementation of new ideas to generate revenue.

Map, plan and cover (with management supervision/direction) the territory/category in an effective and organised manner.

Increase advertisement sales to existing and new customers, offering the complete product portfolio, with emphasis on combining/packaging/portfolio-sell off on and off-line solutions

Map customer relationships (with management supervision/direction) and to maximise customer contact to maintain and develop existing and new business.

Sell the benefits of planned advertising.

Develop (with management supervision/direction) plan and sell advertisement features.

Develop and demonstrate an understanding of Negotiation – primary strategies, managing perceived bargaining power.

Adhere to the Company discount structure when negotiating with customers.

Assist customers by advising on copy writing, copy presentation, advertisement design and campaign planning. All advertisements will be of the highest standard.

Collect and process all advertisement copy adhering to the company deadlines.

Answer customer queries courteously and promptly adhering to the time scales laid down by the company.

Continuously update knowledge of marketing statistics, changes, market share and competitors.

Observe lines of communication within the department structure.

Inform other departments or sections of changes which may have an impact on them.

Ensure appropriate arrangements are made for territory/category cover during any periods of absence.

Assist on other territories/categories as required.
