Your duties will include

Health and Safety

• Respect all site safety rules including those applicable for the safe engagement of contractors as applicable to contracted hauliers
• Ensure all site safety rules are adhered to
• Participate in Risk Assessments and Safety Dialogues
• Manage the safety induction for carriers on site for loading

Customer Service


• Receive and process UK customer orders
• Receive electronic orders from teams located in various countries, process them and meet delivery deadlines
• Use on site systems for controlled management of traffic and visitors
• Raise loading notes and despatch notes for both UK and Export markets
• Create quality certificates and certificates of conformity
• Arrange and send samples via appropriate means
• Be the main contact internally for any day-to-day issues that may arise
• Arrange transport via TMS
• Liaise with loading team
• Provide assistance during holidays and absenteeism of other team members (reporting etc)
• Check and send invoices to our customers
• Chase carriers for updates of data in TMS (Transport Management System) and work alongside carriers, freight forwarders and shipping agent to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
• Support the Maritime Export Administrator by sending and answering e-mails/calls/requests from internal customers such or export cells and external customers and agents regarding day-to-day running of their accounts
• Welcome drivers and ensure that the safety induction and quiz are completed
• Manage the sample request process (preparation of the empty buckets, DHL samples, sample follow up in excel)
• Sort, log and distribute the incoming post and other ad hoc site administrative duties (as agreed by the Operational Logistics Manager/HR Manager)
• Manage the stationery orders by the Customer Services team

Quality Assurance

Contributes to the management, control and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2008 standard where required.
