REED Exeter are currently partnering with a leading South West based food import business to manage the recruitment of a sales and logistics co-ordinator.

The role will include a variety of activities such as administration which predominantly will be office based however will involve some travel. You must have a good level of customer skills as you will be required either via phone, email or Skype to be the first point of contact for customers wanting to place orders or understand more about the product range.


Responsibilities

Support the Supply Chain Manager with all matters including, but not exclusively:
• Logistics from European suppliers to the UK
• Onward supply chain from the UK depot or direct from Europe to customers
• Completion of product costings
• Customer communication
• European supplier communication
• Sample organisation and submission
• Project management
• Manage customers via the office
• Support the commercial and technical function in ad hoc projects
• Assist the Sales & Marketing Executive with their work, on a “need” basis


This role will be best suited for an individual that has previous experience in working within a sales/logistics co-ordinator/ administrative position. You will need to use the full range of Microsoft packages therefore experience in this is essential.

Experience of managing stock, logistics , transport and orders combined with knowledge of the UK food retail market would be beneficial however not essential.
