You will be working for an NHS organisation based in Kingston working on an interim basis for 3 months. 

Your new role

To lead staff in its statutory and legislative duties for Safeguarding Adults at Risk, Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, (DOLS) and PREVENT.
To lead Trust achievement of standards for Safeguarding Adults at Risk, Mental Capacity Act (2005) & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, including those standards that cover staff performance, supervision, training, practice development and ensuring staff are competent across the organisation
Lead the continued improvement of effective accessible quality care delivery which is responsive to the needs of people with autism and learning disability.
To promote and ensure that safeguarding adults at risk is an integral part of the Trust Business and that key staff are aware of the thresholds for triggering safeguarding adults at risk enquiries and an assessment of risk.
To liaise proactively with external organisations to provide and promote seamless patient-centred care.
Lead and implement effective systems of safeguarding adults and learning disability audit and the application of agreed safeguarding adults standards both internal and with external partners e.g. CCG.

What you need to succeed

Registered Nurse – Adult
Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience to master’s level equivalent
Significant experience within learning disability nursing at band 6 or above
Significant general and operational management experience to include the management of large multidisciplinary group of staff – part of which to have been in the NHS
Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise duties.
Sound working knowledge of safeguarding policy and the principles of practice supporting adult safeguarding and learning disability care in the acute setting.
