Our client, a leading specialty insurance group that provide clients with proven smart risk solutions for both underwriting and claims, are looking to recruit an Exposure Manager to work within the client’s exposure management team, working closely with the Head of exposure management. The main purpose of the role is to oversee and manage the internal and external communication of the client's exposures and support their view of risk efforts, particularly on emerging risks and man-made catastrophes. This role facilitates all functions across the wider exposure management team and will incorporate dynamic and essential interaction with the underwriting teams. The successful candidate will also act as the primary point of contact for any requests or initiatives from Lloyd’s and keep the wider exposure management team informed of such updates or changes. You will work across other functions within the exposure management team, including Catastrophe modelling, portfolio analytics and research to deliver on the team’s objectives.
Candidates must have relevant experience within a Lloyd’s exposure management team and possess excellent understanding of Lloyd’s business, regulatory and reporting requirements. You will also have advanced skills in using SQL or other programming languages coupled with an interest and inclination to learn additional skills and software. Also essential is experience with using and interpreting outputs from simulation platforms, understanding of catastrophe modelling and (re)insurance and an interest and understanding of managing emerging risks.
