Organisation Description:
Reed Accountancy are currently working with the local government to recruit for an experienced Reconciliations Officer to join a vibrant team on a permanent basis. 

The main responsibility of the role will be to maintain/manage bank reconciliations and any other associated financial processes, such as, clearing bank charges, cash discrepancies and raising financial reports. 

Role Responsibilities: 
-Respond to and manage the resolution of reconciliation queries via telephone, email or written correspondence ensuring excellent customer service is evident in all interactions and to agreed SLA requirements. 
-Accurate completion of daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations and reports against the SLA's.
-Conduct regular reviews of reconciliations,escalating outstanding items to the appropriate party.
-General administration and financial processing as required including providing cover for other roles within the team.

Personal Specification:
-Excellent written,oral and communication skills
-Secondary education to GCSE level or equivelent
-Previous experience in a similar role
-Accountancy/double entry bookkeeping experience or qualified by experience 
-Computer literate including Microsoft Office to intermediate level. Advanced experience of Excel is essential (Including VLookups. 
-Knowledge of Oracle Financials and/or data analysis skills would be an advantage
