The company that I'm working alongside are a well known manufacturer of precision components within Nottinghamshire and they're currently looking for a Quality Inspector who can program and operate a CMM machine, however please don't be put off by this as they're very open to Inspectors who would love to learn these skills.
This manufacturing company supply parts to a variety of different industries including: Aerospace, Medical and Oil & Gas.
Quality of product is always an integral feature for manufacturing companies and this company pride themselves on delivering products of the highest standard.
Therefore within this role, you will take a leading part in ensuring that Quality is maintained throughout all products and throughout the company.
A large aspect of the role will include work on a CMM machine, programming and operating, however this can come at a later stage if you need additional training.
As a Quality Inspector, you will also be:
- Inspecting machined products using a variety of tools and techniques including hand held measuring equipment.
- Calibrating inspection equipment and ensuring Quality of apparatus is maintained.
- Producing inspection reports.
- Raising non conformances and investigating Quality issues.
You will also be expected to take part in Continuous Improvement projects as there is a positive attitude to working efficiently on site.
To be considered for this role, you should be working within a Quality department for a manufacturing company. It's ideal that the manufacturing company are producing precision components, however not essential.
You should be confident with a range of measuring equipment and have a desire to expand upon this knowledge base if necessary. Along with this, you should be able to read Engineering Drawings with ease.
You should have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to work across multiple shift patterns (Days and afternoons) and be someone that will pitch in and step up when there are challenges.
You must be comfortable using Microsoft packages to capture date and record reports.
It would also be beneficial if you have the ability to program and operate a CMM Machine with Mitutoyo Software. If you have experience with other software or really want to learn how to use this machine, this is still a great position to pursue.
