Reed Accountancy have pleasure to be working exclusively with a fantastic organisation in Chelmsford who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor.

The Purchase Ledger Supervisor role is a new role taking end to end control of the newly centralised purchase ledger.

Being a new role, and using the recently installed new accounting system the role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to really make it their own, designing their own processes and workflows.

The role will also work with the purchase data to identify savings as well as helping with future forecasting budgeting.

Key duties

Controlling the flow of all purchase invoices around the business
Ensuring invoices are authorised in line with company policies
Input of invoices
Preparation of payment runs
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Reporting on costs
Identifying where savings could be made, or services improved by group purchasing
· Training of staff
Producing information for budgeting

Person specification

Knowledge of the workings of a purchase ledger
Understanding double entry bookkeeping
Experience accurately controlling large volumes of transactions
Highly organised
High attention to detail
