Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a successful organisation in the business energy market, and have an excellent opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team. This is a full time permanent opportunity.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, and working as part of a team of 8 employees, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will manage all aspects of a complex, multi-currency purchase ledger, processing a high volume of invoices in a timely manner where accuracy is essential.
More specific duties will involve:
Processing Purchase ledger invoices and allocations of payments made (multi-currency)
Reconciling suppliers statements per month
Maintaining Receipts and Payments journals
Posting of Nominal ledger journals
Nominal ledger accounts review
Inter-company transaction reconciliations
To deal with supplier accounts calls and agree payments in line with policy
Filing invoices and statements
Candidates will have previous purchase ledger experience together with a good understanding of the overall accounting function. Candidates will be happy to work in an accounts payable focused role, taking ownership of the ledger and managing processes with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Candidates will have good systems experience.
Salary £22’000 to 24’000 per annum.
