Reed Accountancy have the pleasure of working closely with our client, a leading organisation within their sector, who are currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a part time, permanent basis.

Due to the set up of the team, my client is looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years recent experience in a Purchase Ledger role as you will be working fairly autonomously.  To work in conjunction with the current incumbent, ideally you will be available available to work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's.

Reporting to the Accountant you will be responsible for:-

- Posting of purchase invoices
- Posting of staff expenses
- Reconciling supplier statements 
- Compiling information for monthly management accounts in a timely manner
- VAT knowledge to ensure correct information is being recorded for VAT preparation
- Processing weekly payment runs
- Use of Sage 200

This is a high volume purchase ledger role that requires attention to detail and efficient and accurate processing.

Previous use of Sage Line 50 or 200 is essential for this role although some training for various aspects of the position will be given.
