Reed are working with a client based five minuets walk from southampton central train station, they are seeking a Purchase Ledger Administrator. This is a full time position on a permanent basis. 

Job Description.

Primary function is reconciling Purchase statements using Sage Line 50 Accounting Software. In conjunction with Purchase Ledger Controller.

Calculating weekly, monthly and regular payments of Purchase Ledger Accounts to terms.

Liaising with Suppliers and internal staff daily to resolve queries.

Coding & passing purchase invoices against accruals on Datafreight.

Understanding foreign invoices and payments.

Filing of job files on a regular basis and ensuring archived files are kept in order.

Filing of booked invoices 

Looking after the mailing functions in the office.

Keeping stationery stock topped up/ordered on a regular basis.

Must be a good team player.

Able to work to deadlines.

Other duties, as required, particularly when other Accounts staff are on holiday.

E.g. Assisting with Banking and posting of cash receipts and reconciling daily running sheets. Assisting Credit Controller.

Other administrative duties as maybe required from time to time.

Responsible to the Group Financial Accountant.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook essential.

Knowledge of Sage line 50 and Datafreight would be desirable but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
