A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a core client of mine based in Halifax for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an expanding team on an initial temporary basis with the potential of a permanent role.

The ideal candidate would be available immediately and have worked in a similar job in the past.

Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:

• Processing purchase invoices with great accuracy.
• Processing payments to suppliers.
• Preparing and making payment runs.
• Setting up new suppliers on the system.
• Daily bank reconciliations.
• Dealing with supplier queries and supplier statements
• Liaising with internal managers and departments to obtain relevant information
• Supervision and training of Purchase Ledger staff.

Accuracy, completeness and compliance with procedures are essential at all times.

Skills required:

• Previous experience of working on the purchase ledger and bank reconciliations are essential.
• High level of communication and customer service skills.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
