Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a well-established family business based in Belfast and are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will work as part of a small team within finance and assist with a high-volume purchase ledger.
Processing invoices and matching to purchase orders (100+ weekly)
Allocating creditors payments
Supplier statement reconciliations
Assisting with invoice queries and liaising with inter-company sites and suppliers to resolve
Preparing and processing creditor BACS and cheque payments
Daily bank run
Petty cash reconciliation
General administration duties including filing and post
Any other duties as required
The ideal person for this role will have:
2 years purchase ledger experience in a busy finance environment
A good technical understanding of the accounting function and how the purchase ledger impacts the management accounts process
Strong IT knowledge including Sage 200 and MS Excel
Full driving licence
Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
