Purchase Ledger Assistant
South Cambridge
£10 - £12 per hour

A growing technology business with offices in South Cambridge, are looking to a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a temporary basis for 3 months.

You will work in a team of 6 and report to the Finance Manager. Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring all direct cost purchase invoices are coded using the correct Nominal Ledger coding structure
• Posting and allocating invoices against the relevant jobs via Sage and the purchase ordering processing system.
• Review and log all identified discrepancies (including invoices without a PO) before sending to the relevant office for sign-off
• Ensuring that any direct costs invoices without purchase orders have the required sign-off prior to payment
• Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations versus the purchase ledger in the accounting system, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Chasing missing supplier invoices
• Assisting with the payment run to ensure that invoices are paid within a timely manner
• Assisting with the monthly direct cost accrual
• Dealing with supplier queries
