Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger

Full time

Location- Sevenoaks

Salary £23,000-£25,000


REED in Bromley are working with a fast paced organisation in Sevenoaks. The organisation is looking for somebody who can integrate into the accounts team quickly and smoothly reporting to the purchase ledger manager.


Main Duties:

  • Coding and Posting purchase invoices.
  • Checking purchase invoices against agreed supplier pricing schedules.
  • Querying purchase invoices where necessary and resolving query to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Raising cheque payments and preparing BACS and international payments.
  • Being main point of contact for suppliers and accounts departments with regard to invoicing queries etc.
  • Other general duties as reasonably required by the purchase ledger manager.
  • Compiling reports as required for the purchase ledger manager.


Person specification:

  • A quick learner
  • Excellent communication skills written and oral
  • Experience in Accounts Payable or Receivable
  • Experience in Purchase Ledger
  • A working knowledge of MS office and Excel
