Purchase Ledger - Full Time - Ongoing Temporary Position with a potential of going permanent.

Our client a local York business, based in York are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger to join their busy team and provide support to their accounts team.

Working hours are Monday – Friday between the hours 9.00am-17.00pm. 

Core Responsibilities:
• Matching supplier invoices against orders
• Reconciling supplier accounts to statements received
• Batching cheque payments received and preparing a list for the credit control team
• Preparation of payment runs
• Dealing with purchase enquiries
• Other adhoc duties as required

Key Performance Indicators:
• Prioritise workload to enable tasks to be carried out within deadlines given.
• Take ownership of own time and workload.

Candidates need to have previous Purchase Ledger experience and be competent with MS Office.

Person Specification:
• Excellent MS Office knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and extensive knowledge of email
• Purchase Ledger Experience
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Good communicator at all levels
• Maintains a positive attitude, self-motivated and uses own initiative
• Professional in appearance, conduct, language and manner
• High standard of work quality
• Desire to help and support

This role is due to start 14th September so you must be available to start on this date.
