Job Title: HE Psychology Lecturer

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (over 3 days)

Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a great college on an exciting new role in the Surrey area. 

Starting immediately, the college are looking for an outstanding HE Psychology Lecturer to join them on a temporary basis.

With over 8,000 students our client is one of the largest and most successful providers of Further (college) and Higher (university) Education courses in the South East, judged Good at all levels in all areas by external inspections by Ofsted and the Quality Assurance Agency (for Higher Education).

The Role:

· To plan, deliver and review stimulating and exciting teaching and learning experiences that support academic competence and vocational excellence specific to the required knowledge, learning and acquisition of skills identified in the programme specifications.
· You will be delivering Psychology up to Level 7 in a Further Education setting.
· To routinely assess, track and monitor student achievement, using systems as prescribed by the College and/or awarding institution.
· To effectively mark coursework assignments and examination papers in accordance with UCC policy and its standards and timescales, in line with current Academic Regulations, providing in depth effective and supportive feedback to students to ensure continuous improvement.
· To engage in collaborative lesson planning, teaching and assessment as required

What you will need:

· A first Degree and a postgraduate qualification in the required teaching specialism.
· Already hold or working towards a full teaching qualification (eg PGCE, DTLLS). Literacy and Numeracy, at or above Level 2, is required.
· Experience of working in the relevant industry.
· Experience delivering Psychology up to Level 7 in a Further Education setting. 
· Successful experience of setting and marking high quality assessments at level 3 and above.
· Evidence of recent CPD activity relating to the subject specialism.
· Good classroom management
