The Role

This temporary assignment is an important role in supporting the Accommodation Manager to deliver a safe, and positive residential experience for the student tenants. A flexible approach is required. 

Training in the role will be provided, with 1 week’s handover with the post holder.
Duties

Building Management

• Assist the Accommodation Manager in undertaking routine Health and Safety inspections in line with proper management of the site and current legislation
• Assist in responding to tenant maintenance requests in line with Primo procedures and timeframes
• Assist with room inspections (if required)

Sales

• Assist in any on site marketing activity
• Assist with liaising with the university accommodation personnel to accommodate viewings of the studios and facilities

Customer Service

• Assist in providing a positive customer experience and maintain customer satisfaction
• Ensure a warm welcome and quality service to all visitors to site and student customers
• Assist in ensuring all requested maintenance is dealt with in a timely and efficient manner

Core Competencies, Skills and Abilities

• Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
• Knowledge of the higher education sector (desirable)
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent (including English and Maths) (essential)
• Self-starter and self-motivated (essential)
• Ability to take instruction and work as part of the small team (essential)
• Ability to deal with customers (essential)
• Commitment to quality in all aspects of administration and service delivery (essential)
• Willing to be flexible and respond to changing circumstances (essential)
• Team player (essential)
• Time management (essential)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as is previous experience of providing a high level of service delivery within a customer focused environment. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are also required.

Additional requirements

The role requires a confident administrator with excellent customer service skills. Able to work under pressure and support the Manager and work as a small site team.
