We are currently recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor in Solihull to work on behalf of the Council.
You will be working with the Council’s in-house design consultancy who provide architectural, interior design, structural & Civil Engineering, project Management and Quantity Surveying Services to the Council.
The design studio has a strong bias towards education and commercial sector works and are also engaged to work in the following: libraries & Arts, leisure, social services, Housing, and bereavement services. The team utilise BIM level II practice and collaborative working protocol’s and are currently adopting BIM Level III practice.
The role will require you to undertake a full range of pre and post contract quantity services for large and complex projects. To assist the wider team in the development and implementation of the financial management and procurement of the Council’s construction programme.
MRICS - Chartered Quantity Surveyor and relevant degree in construction
Experience of working with BIM (Building information modelling system)
In depth experience of quantity surveying work, associated procedures, and practices on public sector projects
In depth experience and knowledge of NEC3/4 and JCT forms of contract including: Standard, intermediate, minor works and Design & Build (Including contract administration and mechanisms within the contract)
Competent using causeway CATO software and MS Excel
Extensive knowledge and Experience of CDM 2015 regulations and Health & Safety
Essential Car user
