An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Principal in Corporate Affairs to join a leading company based in Belfast.

This is a temporary position initially for 4 months – has the possibility to be extended

Hours of work: Monday – Friday (37 hours per week)

With an hourly rate of £19.37 p/h based on a salary of £37,272 per annum

Job Purpose:

You will be providing support and guidance to senior staff to ensure the proper project management methodology is applied to large and strategically important projects.

Essential Criteria:

• University Degree or equivalent
• At least three years relevant experience in a Project or Programme Manager/Coordinator role to include: Planning and delivering projects on time and within budget, Stakeholder/partner management and programme reporting and Using formal project management techniques to deliver successful projects
• Evidence of managing budgets and resources and an understanding of financial management procedures
• Evidence of positive negotiation and influencing skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the successful development of programmes/projects by providing specialist project management expertise
• Identify, develop and document systems and procedures for the management of projects and programmes
• Contribute to and coordinate input to business cases for identified major projects/programmes
• Identify and define the roles and responsibilities for all the stakeholders for identified projects /programmes, and establish project structures to ensure accountability and responsibility
• Develop systems for the monitoring and reporting of progress
• Develop systems for the management of risk and uncertainties
• Develop systems and procedures to monitor the delivery of quality within identified projects/programmes
• Develop of detailed project plans and timelines for identified projects/programmes
• Develop a project brief and project initiation document for identified projects/programmes
• Supporting the SRO and programme/project manager in the preparation and compilation of the programme/project documentation
• Establishing and maintaining communications between the constituent projects for the benefit of the programme / project
• Manage any sub-project/work stream activities and dependent sub-groups to ensure that the project deliverables are successfully realised
• Develop reporting requirements that are streamlined and integrated
• Identify essential skill requirements and training needs to successfully manage projects and programmes
• Identify staffing requirements to successfully manage projects and programmes
