Are you an experienced project buyer looking for a new challenge?

I'm excited to be launching this fantastic opportunity for a Project Buyer for a leading property, residential, construction and services group. They operate across a range of sectors including defence, education, housing, industrial, power, transport and utilities. The role is based in the beautiful historic market town of Wymondham.

Reporting to the Head of Environment Services this project buyer role requires someone who has fantastic attention to detail, has excellent communication skills and flexible and fast learning. Candidate needs to be able to hit the ground running and be a current experienced project buyer.

• Responsible for facilitating designated Procurement projects
• Work closely with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to deliver and improve Procurement savings and ‘value added’ benefits.
• Analyse performance of current ES deals to highlight opportunities
• Support for ES procurement tenders, involving reviewing and managing existing and new framework agreements/templates and rebates.
• Draft Material Service Level Agreements where required.
• Strong supply chain management skills including monitoring marketing trends and build strong relationships to ensure best value outcomes on projects.
• Contribute to the management of Supply Chain to ensure best practice and monitor performance
• Manage the analysis of savings and cost benefits of proposals

Skills –

• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Proven experience of running Procurement projects, realising savings and working to and achieving deadlines.
• Proven ability in developing effective working relationships through strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Previously procured goods and services for medium to large organisations.
• Demonstrable record in delivering savings against budgets.
• Experience of waste management contracts ideally in a procurement role
• Experience of bid preparation
• CIPS Qualification Diploma or Advanced Diploma Level
• High level of communication skills and the ability to compile reports for senior managers.
• High standard of computer and data manipulation and interpretation skills – particularly in relation to financial, project management and technical applications.
