My client based in Wimbledon, Surrey are a lovely firm to work for and they manufacture on site, high quality precision metal products for a variety of industries.
They are now looking for a Junior Production Planner to join their friendly team and your duties will include:
Coordinating the flow of work and materials between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
Conferring with the Production Manager, the Team Leaders as well as the Production Engineer to determine progress of work and completion dates for the departments.
Ensuring that daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations and analysing and preparing documents needed for production using the ERP system.
Follow-up as required with the Production Manager to assist with the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory, quality and machinery to ensure continuous production
Certification in a Mechanical or Production Engineering education
Experience in a similar manufacturing / production role would be preferential.
Experience with ERP system would be preferential.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing would be beneficial
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
Self-motivated, with a positive “can do attitude.”
The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong analytical mind-set with the ability to prioritise workload.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Punctual & reliable.

Duration Permanent with a Probation period of 3 months = 12 worked weeks = 60 working days
Salary £25,000 - £27,000 per annum ( £12.49 - £13.49 ) an hour depending upon skills and experience with a Performance & Pay Review taking place in January of each year.
Hours 38.5 hours a week
Times Monday – Thursday 8:00am till 4.45pm with an hour lunch break and morning tea break
Friday 8.00am till 4.00pm with just a 30 minute lunch break
Holidays 25 days plus the 8 Bank Holidays = 28 day Holiday per annum
Bonus Depending upon company results, paid yearly and is normally in the region of £500 or so.
Pension Matched contribution with the company paying 3.9%
