Production Planner
6 month fixed term contract
£29,000 - £31,000k p/annum.

In this role you would be responsible for planning production activity in different departments, controlling materials and liaising with sub-contractors to ensure that orders are delivered to plan. The Production Planner needs to be a strong, resourceful team player who has the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships to deliver accurate production plans.

Key responsibilities:

Producing plans and schedules for production departments

Ensuring accuracy of data on the MRP system 

Chairing a weekly meeting with Sales Department

Maintaining on time delivery data

Monitoring the movement of materials, identifying non-moving materials and taking action as necessary

Monitoring stocks of finished product

Setting up and maintaining part numbers on the MRP system

Acting as the focal point for production plans and liaising with all departments to ensure that plans are met

Develop advanced planning systems (APS) using Orchestrate

Hours: Mon-Thursday 7:30-16:15 and Friday 7:30-12:30 noon



Ideally, you will have experience in advanced planning systems and it would be advantageous to demonstrate knowledge of planning tools and techniques.

A knowledge of Lean techniques would be preferred but is not essential.

A good level of computer literacy is essential.

Candidates will have a minimum of English and Maths GCSE grade B or the equivalent experience.

Have excellent communication skills, adapting their style to the audience

Have excellent planning & organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and stay focused

Are a team player, involving others and helping the team to accomplish its goals

Maintain focus under pressure

Are quality orientated
