We are working exclusively with a business services client looking to hire a stand-alone Procurement & Contracts Manager for their Surrey/Hampshire border based offices. 

This client is award winning in their field and part of a FTSE 100 company. 

Working in an SME environment.

Are clients are ideally looking for an experienced Supplier Contracts Manager to set up a centralised function to oversee, organise and control all business spend. 
You will have a proven track record of supporting relationship holders, monitoring and negotiating with suppliers, and implementing supplier relationship policies. 

You will be working from a brownfield site and engaging with senior level stakeholders across the business. Your remit is to understand where spend is and set up strategy and contract management systems to ensure best life cost value, be on top of renewals, and to safe guard the business. You will be managing incumbent and sourcing new suppliers as well as managing their ongoing performance. 

Spend areas:

This role would suit a strong Indirects generalist who has had exposure to a range of Facilities, Professional services, Marketing, and sub categories within IT (Including; IT Capex, Data services, Credit referencing services and related licenses/software)

Key Duties:
To offer a high level of guidance, advice, support, documentation and training to the business. 
To be the expert on supplier relationship management issues, ensuring relationships comply with policies to ensure that the client obtains maximum benefit from its supply chain and whole life costs.
Effective management of supplier delivery across the business, to ensure that suppliers fulfill their obligations
Providing support to internal supplier relationship holders to ensure that they re-tender at appropriate times, negotiate appropriately, and monitor the market for alternative providers
Exercise judgement and sensitivity as to whether support means advice, or taking over conduct
Ensure that all tenders are conducted on an objective and commercial basis
Provide management information to the business units to allow them to assess the value of their spend 

Ideal candidate:
You will ideally already have experience of creating procurement process and policy
We are looking for excellent stakeholder skills, the ability to recognise sensitive situations, the ability to fire fight whilst implementing strategy.
Maintain a personable and friendly character, in fitting with the culture 
Ideally you will also be degree or CIPS educated- Not essential
