Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour for a provision based in Bridgend.
About the school…
The provision provides education and care to pupils from the age of 7 right up to 19 who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), along with a wide range of other needs including Autistic spectrum Disorder (ASD).
About the role…
The provision are looking for Teaching Assistants with previous experience of supporting pupils with SEBD for their new Key Stage 2 class. The pupils within the class can display severe challenging behaviour but supporting and engaging with pupils with such needs can be extremely rewarding.
The hours of work will be 08:30am to 15:30pm and the provision are looking for TA’s to work on both a long term and supply basis.
To be successful in this post, you would need:
• Previous experience of supporting pupils within a similar setting
• A Team Teach qualification is desirable but not essential
• The ability to build strong relations and engage with pupils who are disengaged
• Committed to inclusion and promoting exemplary standards of teaching and learning
• Creative, well-organised, flexible, motivated and passionate
You will also need a valid DBS on the update service and satisfactory references. If you do not currently have a DBS on the update service, Reed can assist you in obtaining this.
