REED Education are currently working with an Ofsted rated good Primary School in the West Berkshire local authority to recruit for a temporary Reception Teacher to cover on a term-by-term basis, including all planning and preparation of lessons.
We are seeking to find a strong and experienced QTS Reception Teacher, although applications from newly qualified and experienced unqualified teachers are warmly welcomed and considered for the role.
The ideal teacher will have experience working with reception children teaching the EYFS curriculum in a classroom setting in the UK, overseas trained teachers with UK experience are also welcomed to apply. This is due to the need for full planning and preparation of lessons following UK curriculum and therefore a good and up-to-date understanding of current requirements is essential.
The school was graded as “good” in its last inspection in 2017 where inspectors highlighted the following attributes of the school and its staff…
“Children in the early years enjoy learning and make good progress. Adults provide a good range of activities both indoors and outside. The children play and learn well together.”
“The curriculum is well planned so that pupils can use their literacy and numeracy skills when learning in other subjects.”
“The governing body is effective. Governors are highly skilled and know the school well. They provide strong support and challenge to senior leaders. They have a clear understanding of what needs to be done to further improve the school.”
