Our client is a single form entry Primary School based in the Caerphilly Borough who are looking to recruit a qualified teacher on a fixed term contract from February Half Term 2020 to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be planning and delivering fun, engaging and creative lessons for the 20 pupils in the class. This position will suit someone who is happy to work in a small single form entry school rated “Good” by Estyn and has experience of working within Key Stage 1. The school would also like a teacher with creative ideas, who is willing to utilise the wide range of outdoor space to promote forest learning.

Due to the schools location and a mere stone’s throw from a variety of outdoor space, Forest learning is a massive part of the schools learning ethos and promotes their active community involvement.
The ideal teacher:
As well as holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) you will need to have:
- Excellent understanding & experience in delivering Key Stage 1 Curriculum;
- A calm, reflective approach to teaching and learning;
- Ability to differentiate to promote a nurturing learning environment;
- Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
The school will also consider NQT’s and willing to support these applicants through their induction year.
