This is a temporary role for immediate start. It is based in Bedford, 37.5 hours per week based on a 24/7 shift rota.
The role is to provide basic and accurate assistance over the telephone, using the appropriate software/triaging tools to ensure the relevant information is passed to the correct service providers as appropriate. The position will require interaction not only with the public, but also other healthcare professionals, emergency services and community organisations.
The Primary Call Centre has a 24 hour function and it is a requirement of the job that Primary Care Call Handlers will be available to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with allocated rostered duties.
