Reed Business Support is working with the following client based in the East of Suffolk.
A well-respected and friendly firm is looking for a motivated individual to join its team as its Practice Manager. The role will involve working alongside the Partners, and closely with the accounts and records managers to ensure the smooth running of the firm. The ideal candidate will also play an important role in business development and the promotion of the firm.
This is a full time position, but part time hours may be considered for the right applicant.
Duties will include:
Responsibility for HR, including recruitment, induction, appraisals, grievance and disciplinary matters
Management of staff
Liaison with external professionals, such as accountants and solicitors
General administration of the firm, including compliance with legal, regulatory and health and safety requirements
Promotion of the firm both nationally and internationally
Organisation and running of internal meetings, including management meetings
Additional responsibilities for the ideal candidate include:
Overseeing the firm's website and digital marketing
Management of IT and telecoms
Identification and securing of business opportunities
This position requires a degree of flexibility and willingness to help out with general office tasks when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a practice manager in a professional services or law firm environment. You should be approachable and have meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Experience dealing with confidential information, and excellent communication and analytical skills are important.
