An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our banking client as a team manager within their PPI Complaints department, who resolve complaints regarding the alleged mis-sell of PPI and unfair commission received directly from customers and Claims Management Companies (CMCs). This is a 12 month contract role, paying £200 per day.

The department aims to offer the customer a resolution to their complaint following FCA and the Bank’s complaint handling guidelines, with a focus on ensuring the appropriate response is issued on every complaint.

Key Responsibilities:


• Day to day oversight of a team of contractor Case Handlers
• Track achievement of key metrics of quality and production
• Give feedback regarding results of Quality Control check
• To track production of individual Case Handlers
• To supply weekly MI to Case Handlers
• To complete all risk and control checks as required
• To involve the team in the development of ideas which improve business performance and establish best practice
• To proactively develop, build and maintain flexible working partnerships in order to ensure the effective operation of the team and its contribution to the business area
• To support Business Manager on delivery of key initiatives

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Experience of oversight of others in a relevant process/functional area
• Experience of driving improvement in key metrics
• Knowledge of complaints handling policy/ processes and systems
• Good understanding of relevant policy/regulatory/legislative issues
• Listening and facilitation skills
• Demonstrates ability to build commitment to change
• Relevant business communication both verbal and written
• Understanding and application of process management in a business related operational environment
• Good PC skills - across various applications
• Planning and organising skills
• Flexibility to manage PPI complaints across a number of product areas
