This vacancy will help to deliver and develop the Young Carers work for Early Help Family Support & Youth Offending Service into the future, to ensure Young Carers are receiving a good high quality service. Please read on for more information about this role.
You will work with other organisations within the borough e.g. schools, social care and voluntary organisations to support and deliver services to young carers age 5-18 years.
You will ensure all young carers referrals are made through the Early Help Family Support & Youth Offending Service Single Front Door, and to monitor and keep up to date information regarding Young Carers. This is a role that will offer you the chance to engage with young carers and provide centre based activities for them as well as working on an outreach basis to help support them. Most of this work will take place in evenings and weekends.
In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate work experience with young people, and young carers of vulnerable children. You must be qualified to PCEP Level or have equivalent experience. You will need knowledge of the appropriate Care Act and the issues affecting Young Carers. A previous history is Key Work, Social Work or Family Work would support your application.
