Reed Education Cardiff is recruiting specialist teachers of Physics for an exciting opportunity to deliver the subject at Key Stages Four and Five in a mixed 11-18 secondary school in Cardiff for September. Uptake to individual Sciences is higher than average trends at Key Stage Four and Key Stage Five alike meaning that there are opportunities for the successful practitioner to make clear and valuable differences to the lives of learners.
You will be a highly-experienced practitioner of the Physics and a holder of QTS with requisite skills to challenge, innovate and engage learners in their studies of Physics up to KS5. You will be an exceptional and inventive practitioner with a strong background in creative strategies for exceptional teaching and learning standards. You will have a toolkit of strategies to ensure that differentiation takes place consistently in your classroom and is an embedded facet of your practice. You will be an inspirational individual who seeks to model successes and failures in the classroom with a strong background and track record of results at Key Stages Four and Five (exceptions will be made for NQTs and PGCE students).
To be considered for the role, you will be/will have:
• A qualified teacher (QTS status);
• A good honours degree or equivalent in Physics or another scientific discipline;
• Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences up to KS5;
• A sincere desire to see all pupils improve and strategies to ensure positive attainment;
• Effective class management with pupils at all levels;
• Tenacious attitude with a devotion to self-improvement;
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
