My Client, a well-established and thriving business based in Croydon requires a part time Payroll Accountant to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract working 30 hours over 4 days. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in Payroll, will be studying towards a recognised accounting qualification and be available to start asap.

Responsibilities include:

• Updating, uploading and posting journals.
• Ensuring all payroll related accounts are reconciled on time in accordance with company standards.
• Ensuring that Payroll related controls within the HR/Payroll system are updated and maintained.
• Ensuring correct allocations of Overpayment credits received.
• Timely submission of information for HMRC.
• Providing Weekly, Monthly and ad-hoc report to various parts of the business.
• Ensuring all month end routines are carried out to company and statutory deadlines.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting and reconciliation of Tax Year End.
• Timely payment of monthly obligations PAYE, NI, Pension, Court Orders.

Key Stakeholders

• External - HRMC, Pension provider, Childcare, Union & GAYE providers.
• Internal - Finance, HR and IT

Skills and abilities to include:
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Ability to analyse
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Preferably AAT or CIPP qualified
• Preferably Oracle HCM or Financials experience
